Jennifer’s Body is produced by Dan Dubiecki and Jason Reitman, with Diablo Cody as the the screenwriter. It is directed by Karyn Kusama, of “Girlfight” fame. The basic story centers around Anita (Amanda Seyfried), who is the nerdy high schooler, and her best friend, Jennifer(Megan Fox), who is the ever popular, way to pretty, captain of the cheer-leading team. At the beginning of the film, Jennifer is your typical cheerleader, popular with both the boys and girls at the high school, for obvious reasons. As the film progresses, a Satanic ritual is enacted by the character Nikolai (Adam Brody) and his rock band, wherein a sacrifice needs to be made in trade for a recording contract. Well, the entire ritual doesn’t go as planned, and Jennifer ends up being possessed by a demon who proceeds to go after, and feed off, the souls and bodies of the boys in the school. is, not surprisingly, to seduce the boys one at a time and draining off their sexual life force, killing them in the process. Anita decides to take the responsibility to stop Jennifer’s horrific killing spree that is focused on all the male students at the school. In the present, most younger people know exactly how computer speech technology works. Today, even the cheaper cell phones have speech into text software that let you say DIAL JIM. There is also text into speech software. In fact, with a few clicks of the mouse, I can turn on Windows built in text to speech software and have this very article I am writing spoken to me by my computer. The way a computer does speech synthesis is a two stage process. The software, often called TTS or “text to speech” analyzes written words and breaks them down into linguistic symbols. The second process is that the software uses these linguistic symbols to generate speech in waveform that is heard through a computer’s speakers. TTS software is typically very large because of the different processes it must complete. For example, TTS software has to convert common symbols and abbreviations into whole words. It also must assign a phonetic description or small sound to each letter combination in the text. It also must assign correct pauses and intonations which convey meaning to the listener.
